Race car driver Shigeru Terajima in April was involved in a severe accident at the Suzuka racing circuit.

And the racetrack video, which is just now starting to go viral, shows that the the accident was really pretty awful:

What the backstory here? Jalopnik offers some details:

Ferrari 458s were racing at Suzuka when one of them was involved in a simply insane accident. The driver and a corner worker were injured, but should be ok. That’s unreal, because this is one of the worst accidents I’ve ever seen.

…Terajima was driving his yellow 458 when something went very wrong on the front straight. The car spears right after pit out, hitting the safety barrier. The car basically disintegrated.

Luckily, no one was killed:

Amazingly, Terajima and the nearby corner worker survived the crash. Terajima is in serious condition at the hospital, but it sounds like he’ll pull through. The corner worker is also in the hospital, but he seems to be in better shape than Terajima. Unbelievable.

Unbelievable, indeed.

After the IRS was publicly outed for specifically targeting conservative organizations, damage control is now underway as the White House attempts to distance itself from the debacle.

In fact, President Obama on Monday called reports that the IRS targeted conservative groups “outrageous” and said anyone responsible should be held accountable. 

On Monday evening, Glenn Beck, along with Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, explored the administration’s contradictions and assertions that it knew nothing about the government agency’s probe into conservative groups.

Contradicting claims that the administration only just became aware of the event, Sekulow told Beck on Monday evening that the White House Counsel’s office was notified of the IRS issue three weeks ago.

Toby Marie Walker of the Waco Tea Party was also on the program to explain what happened after she applied for tax status. She said the IRS repeatedly sent letters — some asking for what she described as  unreasonable information — and given less than 90 days to reply. The due date on many of the letters was September 11.

“We’re talking about minuscule amounts of money.”

Maria Acosta, of the Central Texas 9/12 Project had a similar experience. What made her “shake her head,” however, was that the IRS asked for login details to her organization’s website. The login details would of course give the government access to all behind the scenes operations and information about the 9/12 group’s daily affairs.

Beck noted that he was in fact surprised that the White House apologized for the fact that the IRS targeted the Tea Party groups, but questioned their purported lack of knowledge about the events beforehand.

Recall that even back in 2012 it was revealed that high-ranking IRS officials knew that conservative groups were being inappropriately targeted. This is an entire year before another official denied such targeting was going on. The terms: tea party, patriot, or 9/12 were honed in on for attack, Beck said.

Perhaps in an effort to distance himself from the issue, the president qualified that the IRS is independent of the White House.

The IRS, which also targeted a pro-Israel group, said it only did this because of threats of terrorism in America. Yet Muslim Brotherhood front groups are allowed to conduct their daily affairs free of scrutiny.

“A Chicago crime syndicate [is] running our country right now.”

In response to reports that the Federal government may be spying on private citizens’ electronic communications, the American Civil Liberties Union decided to get to the bottom of the story by filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

And their request didn’t go unnoticed. Oh, they got a response alright — but probably not what they were expecting.

Rep. Tom Price tells Newsmax TV that President Barack Obama rightly expressed his outrage over the IRS scandal involving the targeting of conservative groups, but that the president must now follow through with an investigation of the agency.

On Monday's episode of The View, Barbara Walters announced that she's ending her 50-year career and retiring from television in exactly one year. For that final year she'll do a series of retrospectives on ABC prime-time news programs and The View. Walters, 83, said, "When I was turning 70 it was pretty old for television -- to me now that's a kid! But I remember thinking then, Is this the time to go?" During her career, Walters has interviewed many world leaders including Fidel Castro, Golda Meir, Anwar Sadat, Menachem Begin, Muammar Qaddafi, Yasir Arafat and every president since Richard M. Nixon. One she'd still like to get: "The Queen. My bosses at ABC said maybe I should tell her it's my last year."

After weeks in a trial with graphic depictions of how Kermit Gosnell and those in his “House of Horrors” murdered babies, the jury finally reached a sentence following ten days of deliberation. Gosnell was found guilty on three counts of murder in the first degree. He had been charged with four counts.

Life News reports:

Baby Boy A was the biggest baby that Kareema Cross had ever seen delivered at Gosnell’s abortion “House of Horrors” clinic in the four years she worked there. He was delivered to 17-year old Shaquana Abrams at 29.4 weeks gestation, according to an ultrasound record. Baby Boy A was so large, he did not fit into the plastic shoe box that Gosnell tossed him in. Cross said she saw the baby pull in his arms and legs while Gosnell explained the movements as “reflexes” telling her the baby really didn’t move prior to cutting the baby’s neck. Baby Boy A was so large, Gosnell joked that “this baby is big enough to walk around with me or walk me to the bus stop.” Cross and fellow employees Adrienne Moton and 15-year old Ashley Baldwin were all so “startled” by the size of the baby that they all took photos of the baby with their cell phones.

Baby C was an intact baby of over 25-weeks gestation. Kareema Cross testified that she saw Baby C breathing and described the up and down chest movements she observed for 20 minutes. She told the court she saw Lynda Williams lift the baby’s arm and watched as the newborn drew it back on its own power. Afterwards, Williams inserted surgical scissors into the baby’s neck and “snipped” the spinal cord. Gosnell was said to be in the room at the time. This baby’s murder charges were unintentionally dismissed in the place of Baby F, but were reinstated after Judge Minehart discovered his error.

Baby D was described by witnesses as 12-15 inches long with the head the size of a “big pancake” when he was delivered into a toilet. Kareema Cross testified that she saw the baby struggling, using swimming motions in an attempt to get out of the toilet bowl. Adrienne Moton pulled the baby out and “snipped” the neck, as Gosnell had taught her to do, while the mother watched. Gosnell has also been charged with Criminal Solicitation of Moton to commit murder of Baby D.

Baby E was estimated to be at least 23 weeks gestation and maybe more. After Baby E was delivered, teen Ashley Baldwin heard the baby cry and called Kareema Cross for help. Cross described the baby’s cry as a “whine.” Baldwin said that Gosnell when into the room then came out with the baby — which now had an incision in its neck — and tossed it into the waste bin.

Gosnell is also facing a third degree murder charge related to the death of Karnaymaya Mongar, 41, due to a botched abortion.

Additionally, Steven Ertelt points out that “The abortionist faces 258 counts total and other charges against him include one count of infanticide and one of racketeering, 24 counts of performing third-trimester abortions and 227 counts of failing to follow the 24-hour waiting period law before an abortion so women can consider its risks and alternatives.”

Planned Parenthood tweeted out this nonsense about victimizing women, but failed to mention just what he was convicted of: infanticide; which is something they knew about and support.

“The greatest tragedy is that Kermit Gosnell is not alone. Exploitation of women and complete disregard for their health and well-being are problems endemic to the entire abortion industry,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of the anti-abortion organization Susan B. Anthony List, said in a statement. “There are numerous examples of negligence and even death in abortion facilities across the country. Now is the moment to realize that abortion is neither safe, nor rare.”

NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue took a different lesson.

“Justice was served to Kermit Gosnell today and he will pay the price for the atrocities he committed,” she said. “Anti-choice politicians, and their unrelenting efforts to deny women access to safe and legal abortion care, will only drive more women to back-alley butchers like Kermit Gosnell.”

Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins released a statement in which she declared:

“There are no victories here and this is far from over. The women and children Gosnell killed are still dead. The families he destroyed with his lies are still suffering. Abortion is still legal in America and is being perpetrated in the same corrupt and dirty ways Gosnell did it for 40 years. Our generation has only just begun our quest to obtain justice for the 55+ million baby girls and baby boys who have killed by legal abortion and to save untold millions more from the same fate,” Hawkins said. “Gosnell’s filthy practices are simply business as usual for the abortion industry and its Goliath, Planned Parenthood. We know there are other Gosnells out there. It’s time to expose these front alley butchers.”

The Susan B. Anthony list also stated:

“The greatest tragedy is that Kermit Gosnell is not alone. Exploitation of women and complete disregard for their health and well-being are problems endemic to the entire abortion industry,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser in a statement. “There are numerous examples of negligence and even death in abortion facilities across the country. Now is the moment to realize that abortion is neither safe, nor rare. Abortion is a brutal, painful procedure, both for the child that it kills and the woman that it wounds. We must protect children both inside and outside the womb who experience unspeakable pain from abortion. Congress must address its role in protecting nationwide the human rights of children. Legislation to ban late-term abortions in the nation’s capital, as well as the recent action taken to investigate abortion industry oversight across the country are the vital first steps. But Congress should not and must stop there. The few inches that separate a child in the womb from a child outside the womb should never determine whether its intentional ‘demise’ is permitted by law or whether a ‘right’ to kill it no longer exists. Americans overwhelmingly oppose late-term abortions and the law should follow their instinctive resistance to this dehumanizing and degrading practice.”

Hopefully justice will be served on Gosnell and begin being served on all those that take the lives of the innocent. Gosnell is to be sentenced next week.

An American Airlines flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Los Angeles last week was forced to make an emergency stop at Kansas City International. Why? Because a female passenger wouldn’t stop singing Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You.”

KCTV5 out of Kansas City reported the local airport’s spokesman Joe McBride confirming that the disruptive passenger was removed at the stop for “interfering with the flight crew.” He also said a federal air marshal on the plane subdued, handcuffed and escorted her from the aircraft.

While in Kansas City, the budding singer of the classic song, originally written by Dolly Parton, was interviewed by authorities and did not receive any charges. However, KCTV5 reported that the crew would not continue to fly with her, so she had to make other arrangements on to her final destination.

Interestingly, commenters are pointing out how the flight attendant can be heard reprimanding passengers taking photos or video of the woman she was making her exit. TheBlaze reported about a travel blogger being kicked off a United Airlines flight for snapping a photo earlier this year.

Airlines’ policies determine whether or not they will allow photos or video to be taken on the plane.

American Airline’s policy states that photos and video may be taken for the purpose of recording personal events only.

“Photography or video recording of airline personnel, equipment, or procedures is strictly prohibited.”
