The Kingdom Come

It seems it was just yesterday when I was bringing my new born daughter home from the hospital.

It seems it was just yesterday when I was teaching her how to walk & how to talk.

It seems it was just yesterday when I was taking her for her first day of kindergarten.

Today I took my daughter to go over her room route for her first day of high school.

Time goes by so fast.  Every moment is so important. 

Moments to teach. Moments to learn.  Moments to share in happiness & sadness.

Why anyone would want to spend these precious moments in insobriety is beyond me.

Why anyone would want to spend these precious moments in bitterness & regret is beyond me.

Now is the moment that my daugther is passing from childhood to a young lady.

Now is the moment for which I have been eager & restraining.

Now is the moment when a new generation is coming forth.
